A Scarce Hammer TV Screenplay

£1,250.00

A Hammer Rarity

[dir. O’HARA, Gerry] MILLER, Stanley

Journey Into The Unknown: Series 1, episode 11: Do Me A Favour and Kill Me (Do Me a Favour.)
N.p. [London]: Hammer Film Productions/ABC, 1968

59 mimeographed pp., bound in red stiff paper wrappers secured with two split pins to left edge. Title window to front wrapper. Inked title to spine. Leading edges of oversize wrappers a little work, but a well preserved copy.

Revised first draft screenplay, dated June 1968 to the title page, for an episode of Hammer’s first successful foray into television. Starring Joseph Cotten and Judy Parfitt.

A co-production with ABC in the United States, Journey to the Unknown made regular use of American leading actors, giving the series heavyweight credentials as well as transatlantic appeal. Here the star is Hitchcock regular Joseph Cotten.

A scarce piece of Hammer arcana.
