Carter Rare Books is a leading rare book firm based in Glasgow, Scotland. The business was founded in 2020 by Thomas Carter, and our major specialities are in Manuscripts, Annotated Books, Association Copies, High Points In Modern Literature, Archives and the Performing Arts.
At Carter Rare Books, we have developed close relationships with and proudly placed important archives within institutional/private collections relating to notable figures within Theatre, Television, Music & Film. We continue to provide a bespoke service to creators and estates to help find worthy homes for their accumulated materials.
We are proud to be members of the PBFA and Manuscript Society. We offer an unconditional guarantee on everything that we sell. You can find us exhibiting regularly at rare book fairs in the United Kingdom and often abroad at European and American Fairs. We travel worldwide to source and sell our wares.
